DMCA & Copyright Policy

Effective May 4, 2026

Qkwip respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to clear, complete notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.

How to report copyright infringement

If you believe content on Qkwip infringes your copyright, send a written notice to admin@qkwip.com that includes:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact URL(s) on Qkwip where the allegedly infringing material appears (e.g. https://qkwip.com/track/abc123).
  3. Your contact information: full name, mailing address, phone, and email.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is sufficient for an electronic signature).

Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly false claims are subject to legal penalties under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

What happens after we receive a notice

  1. We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
  2. If the notice is complete and appears valid, we take down the identified content and notify the artist who uploaded it.
  3. The artist is given the opportunity to submit a counter-notice (see below).
  4. We log every takedown for transparency and may publish anonymized statistics in periodic reports.

Counter-notification

If you are an artist whose track was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or the content is authorized, you can send a counter-notice to admin@qkwip.com with:

  1. Identification of the removed material and its previous URL.
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your full name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of your federal district court (or, if outside the US, that you accept service of process from the original complainant).
  4. Your signature (electronic is fine).

Per the DMCA, if we receive a valid counter-notice and the original complainant doesn't file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we will restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers under our DMCA policy.
