Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Qwip (the “Service”), a streaming platform for independent, human-made music operated by Qkwip. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Qwip. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

2. Accounts

Qwip uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Don't impersonate other people or artists. We may suspend or remove accounts that we determine are violating these Terms or harming the Service.

3. Human-music-only policy

Qwip exists as a platform for music that is created by humans. By uploading any track, you attest, on a per-track basis, that:

  • The track is original work that you created or have rights to distribute.
  • The track is not generated by AI music tools (including but not limited to Suno, Udio, and similar generative audio systems).
  • Conventional production tools, samples, instruments, and effects are permitted; the creative and performative work must be human.

Submitting AI-generated tracks is grounds for track removal and account suspension. We may use automated detection systems and human review to enforce this policy.

4. Content ownership

You retain ownership of music and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant Qkwip a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, stream, display, and distribute the content as needed to operate the Service. You can withdraw this license by deleting your tracks; doing so removes them from the catalog and stops further distribution.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you don't have rights to (see also our DMCA policy)
  • Upload AI-generated tracks (see Section 3)
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users or artists
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or scrape the Service at scale
  • Use the Service for spam, malware distribution, or any illegal purpose
  • Mass-flag tracks in bad faith

6. Moderation

Listeners can flag tracks they believe violate these Terms. Tracks that accumulate flags may be hidden pending human review. We reserve the right to remove any content for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Where possible, we notify the artist of removals via email.

7. Copyright

We respond to valid copyright takedown requests under the DMCA. See our DMCA policy for details on submitting and counter-noticing claims.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing admin@qkwip.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about uptime, availability, or suitability for any purpose. Qkwip is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice and will increment the version number above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
